Blogging from the workplace

So today I just kind of get to wait for the third person of the safety department to decided they want to be here, then I get to go climb on things. Which again, more exciting than it sounds.

Yesterday was interesting, but I can't really talk about it. Because technically, I'm not even supposed to know about it, but my boss likes me so I do. But man, it was amazing. One of those "Really, how the hell do you do that?!?!" kinds of injuries occurred. There are re-enactments and graphically detailed reports that need be written and I am mildly happy that I am just the intern and don't have to be involved with that.

Oh man, you don't even know.

That's really all I have to share with you.

AND THAT IS THE END OF THE STORY

today is awesome, because the convo about what happened yesterday is still going on, and I get to go out to a fancy restaurant with the head of the company for lunch today. :)

I am currently dressed as a Ninja.

Ok.

So the boys and I park in a certain spot in the parking lot for our dorm. Video Game Boy decided he didn't want to park there anymore, so a leprechaun, the mustached one and I are moving it.

He drives a jeep, which is easy enough to break into, and this would have been done already if the steering wheel didn't lock. So no we have to wait for VGB to fall asleep so that his roommate can steal his keys so we can push it across the parking lot.

I know what you are thinking "you will have his keys, can't you just like turn it on?"

The answer is "no," his car doesn't start. This is a new development.

It's currently 11:34, and VGB normally goes to sleep about 3 hours ago, but he's still up for some reason. This never happens. We need to get the Jeep moved before the RA's do their 1 am rounds.

I am excited about this. VERY EXCITED.

After dinner I dressed in all black and painted my face, to become a car moving ninja. Then VGB came into my room. That was, what's the word, awkward. I had to tell him I was making a youtube video. Totally believable, he thinks it's odd, but he believes me. (The boy that parks by light poles so that meteors don't hit his car, thinks me dressing as a ninja to watch American Idol is weird.)

Good times. Hopefully his roommate appears soon so we can get operation move the Jeep in gear.

Devilish, by Maureen Johnson

Yesterday after dinner I sat down to start reading a novel by Maureen Johnson. If you me, you will be aware that Maureen Johnson is my hero and my lady crush.

Anyway, I started reading Devilish, which when I read the back I was like "This is going to we weird." because basically the entire plot is a girl sells her soul to the devil to become popular after throwing up on some people in the middle of the most important school assembly of the year.

As I started to read this, I was like "maybe she doesn't mean the devil, maybe she means like 'popular kids.'" But no, twas the devil.

Three hours later I was done. The whole book, beating my finishing a book in sitting recorded, only getting up for food and bathroom breaks by 18 hours (Order of the Phoenix) .

Of the Maureen Johnson books I have read. This is the best. Better than the Lesbian book that I loved so much. (The Bermudez Triange I still recommend that one a lot as well. )

I'm really one to be excited about books with Devils and soul selling, but it was an amazing read. There were parts that hurt my brain, but Miss Johnson, really made the whole idea that someone could just sell there soul seem like an every day occurrence.

This book is wonderfully written and an amazingly quick read, which I wasn't expecting. Maureen Johnson made me do something I thought only J.K. Rowling was capable of.

http://www.maureenjohnsonbooks.com/index1.html <-- This is Maureen Johnson's website. Check it out. I'm fairly certain you won't be disappointed with any of her Novels. (I still have two to read, but I'm fairly certain they are also good :) )

a piece of The Center of Our Universe

I wrote this just now. And I love it. So I'm sharing. I feel good about this chapter.

“It’s too much. Meet me at The Pearl in five minutes.” As he stepped ahead of me, he turned, walking backward, his hands in the pockets of his jean jacket, worn thin from years of wear and abuse, the edges frayed from a long ago bonfire Harper thought it would be funny to throw it into, and flashed that smirk, those beautiful green eyes shining back at me. I couldn’t help but obey his every word.

Hello World :)

Hi, this is my first, and most likely most boring blog on this site.

I am a college student that wants to write, just write, and get paid to do it. I love writing, if I didn't have to go to class and sleep, I would write all the time.

I have several ideas for this blog, but you'll mostly get orginal short stories and poems. I'm working on a novel, so you may get bits of that.

I look foward to posting new things on here when I come up with them.
