Today is Earth Day, and I enjoy the Tweets I'm getting that say "Everyone shut of the lights! It's Earth Day!!" updated from the Internet... Computers draw a hell of a lot more energy that a light does.
I won an argument yesterday. Now, before you go all "yea so, I win arguments all the time" on me, I'm going to list recent arguments I have lost and my side.
1. Whether or not the Puritans invented scuba gear. (I said no)
2. Whether or not Elvis existed (I said yes)
3. Why Ariel in the Disney classic The Little Mermaid has red hair when all her sisters have blond/brown/black hair. Because Red hair is a receive gene. (I said it's a cartoon, it's not supposed to make sense)
YES, these are real arguments/ debates I have had with Video Game Boy this semester.
The argument I won was whether or not it was possible to kick a bear in the balls without being attacked.
I said "That would be too stupid to even try."
VGB said "Well, I'd throw a fish at it and it would be so distracted it would eat the fish before he attacked me which is perfect ball kicking time. AND gives me time to run like fuck!"
I replied "Bears can run faster than you"
He said "Yes, but it's not going to go from 'ouch my balls' to 'I'm going to kill that guy' in seconds. It takes a minute for him to recover. And besides, it will be distracted by the fish."
and I said "If you through pizza at me and try to kick me, I would not eat the pizza before punching you."
And the table voted that I officially won.
How I don't win more debates with this kid I have yet to figure out. I have like, logic and science on my side, and he just makes up stuff, and the table votes for him. It's weird.
I have to record an EARTH DAY video for the sassyladysociety today, and I was going to film it in the atrium because it was raining but now there's a meeting in there, because VGB, Noelles, VGB's roommate, and I were discussing how awesome Boy Meets World and Fresh Prince of Bel-Air were.
But on the plus side it stopped raining, so I can film outside once Ethan's battery is back to full. It's at 58% right now so that's decent.
There was something else I wanted to talk about...
Oh yea, American Idol.
Holy Crap. I never thought that "If I can't have you, I don't want nobody" could be a very moving and deeply deeply emotional song!! I didn't quite Paula-out and start crying, but I was close.
I was also highly impressed with Kris Allen this week, "She works hard for the Money" was one of my favorite performances, this week.
I worried for Allison, because I like her, but I don't know if her performance last night was strong enough. Hopefully we get rid of Lil, and Matt G's performance wasn't one of his best, which is making me question if his save was worth it. We'll find out tonight. We also get to see Archie from last season. (I'm about as excited about this as Miley last week, which was I would rather stab myself in the eye than watch it.
And that is the end of the story
Today is awesome because I spent an hour and half talking about how freakin' awesome Mr. Feeny was in Boy Meets World.

Adam Lambert is so amazing. I mean, my one true American Idol love is and always will be David Cook, but seriously, Adam is just so great. Simon gave him a standing o! SIMON! Sometimes I don't even think he even likes the show, and yesterday he stood for a performance!!!
I seriously wish more of my friends watched idol so I could Adam Lambert fan girl somewhere that wasn't my blog, but since I have no other outlet... here you go.
I have to get ready, watch idol, then go out with my friends.

I think I'll work on focus for my next one :)
This first part is stolen from Maureen Johnson's blog (http://maureenjohnson.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html)
I commit to this idea and am determined to create something EVERY DAY in April, including weekends. Every day, I will find something to say. I embrace the reality that there is always something to talk about, if you are willing to take the time to look for it.
I, Deanna L Cooley, promise to blog every day in April.
One of these blogs is going to be a blog on blogs, going up on Saturday. You'll like it trust me.
Today, I don't really have much to talk about, which is most likely going to become a running theme, for proof this, check out the vlog every day November I did: (http://www.youtube.com/user/misuseofairqoutes)
I'm working on my novel pretty hard, maybe I'll post some of that eventually, or talk at lengths about how much I love American Idol and Micheal J Fox, because I am both a 12 year-old girl, and a creepy 22 year-old that loves the 80's too much.
Speaking of the much beloved MJF, he has a new book entitled: Always looking up, and adventure in incurable optimism. Which in his own words is both a short joke as well as a play on the word incurable. I feel I need this book, as well has his first one, Lucky Man, which I know surprises you that I don't own. But believe me I'm working on it. :)
On the American Idol front, I'm pretty sure I love Adam Lambert. Now, I still love David Cook, a lot, but I think if Adam and David were in the same season, Adam might take it.
David is going to performing on Idol tonight. I'm excited about this. Like a lot excited.
In other news, don't watch any of Hank Green's videos until he does he his Carrie Bradshaw punishment.
Talk to you all tomorrow
